Brains, or a Puppet Master? by =DarthFar:iconDarthFar:

My first fractal. I wasn't going to start at all, but after hearing =DragonWinter singing the praises of Apophysis and talking about gradients and all (and saying that I'd enjoy the programme if only I'd just try it), I decided, what the heck, I'll mess with the programme just this once and see what horrors I can conjure. No, I had no idea what the hell I was doing. Yes, I was flying by the seat of my pants. And yes, I think this looks like a brain, complete with nerve fibres. ... Either that, or those ghastly Puppet Masters from Robert Heinlein's book, that ride on your back and take control of your body. I don't think fractals are really my thing. [sheepish grin]

Done with Apophysis 2.0.

It is interesting, but i think you are a fabulous writer and producer of character, perhaps the young protaganist in the preceding piece might find it carelessly wrapped in yesterdays news in the strewn garbage of a dimly lit back street alley.

All colors are the friends of their neighbors and the lovers of their opposites.

CHAZAL

It also reminds me of.. what are they called? Langeleers? I don't remember how to spell it, just how it sounds.. I saw the movie when I was like, 7, and I was terrified of all sorts of towers and phonelines for the rest of my childhood.

Anyways, I really like this. It does look like a brain, somewhat. It also makes me think a bit of the Flood on Halo, but that's just because I was playing Halo this morning..

Nice colors, and flying by the seat of your pants and having no idea what your doing is the best way to do things :D.

:icondarthfar:
Langoliers? (I assume you're referring to that Stephen King creation). Eh heh yeah, they kind of freaked me out too. I've never played Halo, though, so that's a reference I've missed.

And thank you very much!

Thank you very much. :) Haha, the protagonist finding the picture carelessly wrapped in yesterday's papers. I like that idea!

It almost looks like some sort of flower on an ivy, with little bits of dead bits hanging out everywhere.
That's just what I see.

No trees were killed in the making of this post, however a large number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced.
:icondarthfar:
Flower with dead bits! You're priceless. But yeah, it does look like one of those curly ferns - fiddleheads. I keep seeing tendrils, though.

Yes, THEM. Gahhh. It freaked me out.

Good efforts, Master. ;) Heh, better in fact, than my own first ones, as predicted. Thanks for trying it at least once!

Accio, Brain!
