100 Pictures Challenge #73: I Can't.

One of my clearest memories of childhood is going to the cinema to watch Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade with my uncle and my cousins. The three of us kids were unmanageable for the rest of the day (or perhaps it was several days?) as we re-enacted the most memorable bits of the movie with great gusto, and played at being Indy for... oh, I don't know how long. To us, Indy was The Man: exceptionally smart, fantastically brave, AND with a nose for adventure.

So while I'm just as excited as everybody else about the return of our archaeology professor-hero to the big screen, I am (admittedly) also a little... iffy about an *aged* Indy up to his old tricks. And you know what happens when thoughts like these enter my head...

The background was referenced from one of the scenes from the new movie, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, but the foreground (minus the skull!) and pose are from Raiders of the Lost Ark (if you couldn't tell...). I suppose I could've constructed a "new", plausible scene for the new movie... but why make a new one when you can poke fun at one of THE most famous movie openings of all time?

And uh... apologies to the [other] fans. Of course.
