100 Pictures Challenge #91: Drowning.

Nope. In spite of all those stories(especially the multitudes of comic strips!) of lemmings hurling themselves off cliffs to be drowned in the tumultuous sea or dashed to their deaths on the rocks, it is nothing more than an urban legend perpetrated by Disney. ;) While overcrowding *does* force them to migrate, it does *not* cause them to kill themselves. They *may* accidentally fall off on occasion, though.

Oh, and lemmings *can* swim. ;)

My entry for :iconsammykaye1:'s Urban Legends contest.

EDIT: I've just noticed that the leaping lemming's head is unusually large in the last panel. :dohtwo: I ask you, dear viewer, to kindly suspend your disbelief.

Trapper falls off the bed once in a while, maybe he's a lemming...

My cats fight over gets to sit beside me on the chair. Does that count. :giggle:

"Sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast." But why stop at six? What's wrong with seven, eight, or nine? Nine is a perfectly good number you know. Not only is it a multiple of three (which IS lucky), It's a magic number.
 Aidan comes up with the darndest quotes.
