What seems like a really great idea when you're loopy from heroic doses of cough medicine? Drawing approximately two million roof tiles using a pen with an itty bitty nib, apparently.
You may recall that I visited Xitang, that ancient water city in the Zhejiang Province of China where nine rivers meet, in 2009. Well, I went back there just a couple of weeks ago (yes, I went to China *again*) and shot more photos to use for what I hoped
would be a short series of pen drawings of the water city. And then of course I came back and came down with the Martian Death Cold that had spread through my entire tour group...
Well, it *still* could happen.
Campap 300gm watercolour paper (because it was the largest I had...)
Artline Drawing System 0.1mm pigment ink tech pen
Pencils for the rough sketch
The drawing measures 11.9" x 6.0", sans
borders. I've hidden my Chinese name somewhere in the picture. Sith cookies for locating it.
Oh, and re: the bizarre title - I got *that* from this site: [link]
Methinks something must have been lost in translation...
