The Pet Shop Boys will be thirty this year. Hailed as the most successful duo in UK music history, the electronic dance/synthpop group (which consists of Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe) has 3 BRIT Awards, one movie and roughly 301
albums to their name (10 of them studio albums) as well as over 100 million records sold, and has diversified in recent years to musical, soundtrack and ballet.
They were also the first band I ever listened to. Overnight, I went from being a geeky little kid who listened to only classical music, to being a geeky little kid who listened to classical music *and* the Pet Shop Boys. My musical taste has expanded since, but they're still my favourite group on the planet. NOTES
Painting was done with the bog standard hard brush (as usual) and two of my own custom brushes, but the layout and graphics were done with Corel's shape tools. If there are *any* PSB fans among my watchers, maybe you'd like to hazard a guess as to what the icons represent. (Along with what else might be hiding in the picture.
