I hate the idea of filing this under Digital Work since it's equal parts traditional technique and digital work, but... oh well.
... my purpose holds 100 Pictures Challenge #92: All That I Have. A rather rushed card (given the date of submission, you can surely guess what for). Or at least... how I would have liked to do the card in black ink wash if not for the fact that I finished the linework at two in the morning (most of the time was spent trying in vain to decipher the different rigging shown in different resources) and was too dead beat to do anything else with it. The original line drawing - done with 0.05mm and 0.2mm Medallion drawing pens - can be viewed here: [link] The colours were digitally added (after the original had gone out), obviously. Why ships? he likes 'em. So do I. That's as good a reason as any.  |
