The author suffers from hypergraphia, which is characterised by unstoppable, frenzied writing (and/or painting) on a particular subject, or on twenty different subjects, or whatever else may enter the person's mind at the strangest times, and without justification (including delusions of becoming Supremely Evil World Tyrant of Pink Bunnies, which is occurring on a disturbingly regular basis). The Surgeon General has determined that this post may be detrimental to your ocular and mental health. If you experience dizziness, migraines, shortness of breath or temporary insanity, please report to the nearest hospital for medical aid.

The author would also like to state for the record that the author is *not* a crazed, romantic serial killer who keeps the heads and body parts of victims on display in various rooms of the house.

FEATURING YOU

We all know what a deviant's most popular works are: all it takes is a single click of the mouse button and we can find out which of their pieces are the most commented upon, most viewed, most liked by the dA community. But what of their own favourite pieces?

We all have our pet deviations: the ones we labour on night after night, the one we pour heart and soul; blood, sweat and tears into; the ones we look at and say, "*This* is what I'm proudest of."

What are *your* favourite personal pieces? Are they the very same ones that have gained the most attention at dA, or do they lurk in a dark, dusty corner of your gallery, commented upon by only a handful and appreciated by even less? What inspired you? Why did you draw/write them? How do you feel about them? Leave a comment or (better yet) send me a note, showing me your top THREE personal favourites in your gallery and explaining why you're attached to them - and I will feature them in my next journal entry.

There's no limit to the number of people featured; however, if the response is good, there may be more than one article.

No tags, no obligations, but if you'd like to help promote other deviants, please feel free to help yourself to this. :)

love 0 0 joy 1 1 wow 0 0 mad 0 0 sad 1 1 fear 0 0 neutral 0 0

that's a generous idea... Lost count of how many time I was disapointed that most people (especially critics and teachers) love my 'less than average according to me' pics than those that I poured my heart out...

How about you? Which one's your self-favorite pics?

l'audace, l'audace, toujours l'audace!
LOLOL. I'd say the dev. that I'm currently most proud of is the first chapter to my new novel. Although DA isn't making it very easy to distribute - forcing me to have to shove it on my website as a .pdf. :shakefish: Nobody ever seems to care for prose though.

Of course, since even DA seems to hate that, it's not even where it should be. I do hate DA for prose though. Nobody ever bothers to give anything a read, just because it's 10k words long. LAWL. Like, they know what they're getting into when I call it a chapter for a "novel", there's no need to complain about its length.

LOL.

Out of my other works...I'd say [link] is one of them. I put a lot of effort into painting it, for my 10k hits...but nobody seems to care. They're all more into my Death Note stuff to be bothered...

Which also brings me to [link] That's another one of those pieces ignored, because it's not of a "popular person/character." I mean, it was just a rough concept sketch...but still, it's hard for me to invent OCs.

And indeed. Win idea. :|

I'd note, but notes scare me.

I only get bad news through notes - and now whenever I see one in my inbox, it scares the life out of me.

Это наш знак. Это знак войны.
This is very tempting:

My favourite piece ( in order):

1. HP - Charlie [link]
2. HP - The Death of RAB [link]
3. Is fanfic count? Then this is my personal favourite: [link]

Exactly why I'm doing this feature. To show the personal favourites that have been left languishing at the bottom of the art bin. I'd love to feature yours as well, if you'd like to pick three out.

I'm the most attacked to In Joy Still Felt, really. It took over a week from planning to completion, and I just about drained myself doing it. When I *wasn't* painting it, I kept thinking about it. Either way, it kept me awake for ten days.

I don't have pieces, just those I commission... I therefore cannot participate... I think I shall go through your gallery and pick my top three... :evillaugh:
Awesome idea. I need to get going to school though, so I'll go look through my gallery later.

"You fought with Captain Reynolds in the war?"

"Fought with a lot of people in the war."

"And your husband?"

"Fight with him sometimes, too."

[Question rephrased] Should high school students who are in the science and math stream be expected to be able to do math/arithmetic outside of further math classes without a calculator, or should calculators be an acceptable device for all classes?

GARRITY

An awesome take of Garrity by :iconcatharsisjb:=CatharsisJB. In a certain light, Garrity *can* be a pretty humourous character. :D

A tribute to Molly! Just how awesome can :icondragonwinter:`DragonWinter get?

Garrity receives a tribute in the form of The Watcher and the Rose by :iconrilwenshadowflame:~RilwenShadowflame. Thank you!

Awesome gifts from the great fractalist :icondragonwinter:`DragonWinter, dedicated Sith apprentice and great friend. :D

My Helicobacter pylori with its very own iPod, (many) thanks to :iconfeeldaforce:~FeeldaForce. :D

CAN-nibalism??? A decidedly twisted take on an already twisted phenomenon, from real-life buddy :iconlattebleu:*LatteBleu

Skrewed by a Skrewt! Not only is :iconmizzillan:*mizzillan's sketch evilly funny, it comes with an equally reprehensible title.

:iconocelott:~ocelott's pet gizka Cati performs an endearing Happy Birthday sing-and-dance for cheesecake.

... And ~ocelott's mother :iconpsychoticdustbunny:*psychoticdustbunny draws me with my... uh, pink boa for a birthday picture. Watch out for that snake, kids. He's *evil*.

Spider Jerusalem, renegade gonzo journalist from Transmetropolitan, in :iconstar-pie-:~star-pie-'s own distinctive style.

My Aunt :iconwraithten:~WraithTen claims that I am a psychotic computer who experiments on hapless humans. When did my mask fall off???

:thumb52029440:

Now, I've been fortunate enough to receive gifts all this while... but this is the first time somebody's actually drawn a picture of *me*. :aww: Thank you very much, :iconwraithten:~WraithTen

TRADES

:thumb62885957:

An awesomely done oil painting of me, done by :iconbmccue7:~BMcCue7, as part of a portrait trade.

The deeper, darker side of Master Vrook Lamar's relationship with the Exile, brought to you by :iconcyanida:~Cyanida.

:thumb29573596:

:iconmaquaii:*Maquaii Mandalorian Wars shows a side of war seldom portrayed: the anxiety and the miserable long wait, while battle rages on elsewhere.

A deceptively cute, foul-mouthed parrot from :icontheansu:~theAnsu in exchange for a pair of gizka slippers. :D And...

Something that you need to see for yourself, whether you're a Star Wars fan or no. Suspiciously deranged artwork, it may be, but it's also a work of utterly evil genius.

FEATURES

Awesome creations brought to you by Darth Mommy, :icondragonwinter:`DragonWinter.

Origami gizkas and potato sculptures of pigs are proof of :iconlattebleu:*LatteBleu's insane(ly creatively funny) mind.
